A Little Winter Pause

A cosy fireside workshop

You’ve been frantically running around, trying to get all the gifts together for everyone. The Christmas shopping, the endless to-do lists, the social plans, the pressure to make everything lovely for everyone else…. But you forgot about yourself in the process. The first week of December doesn’t have to look like this.

Are you dying to enjoy the festive season, but…

You’re already feeling so run down that even a trip down the high street feels like too much

You’re turning down festive plans because you’re too exhausted to socialise, even though you want to enjoy this time of year.

And when you finally get a moment to yourself, your mind is still racing through everything you need to do

You’re looking at your calendar and wondering how you’re going to fit everything in, let alone find time to rest (isn’t that what Christmas is about?!)

You’re getting snappy with the people you love because you’re running on empty

You want to enjoy the festive season, not spend the whole of December counting down the days until it’s over

So then WHY does enjoying the season STILL feel so far away? Because you’re waiting until everything is done before you let yourself rest.

You can approach things a little differently this year… You’re reading this because you know there is another way. One where you don’t have to push through the tiredness or wait until everything is done before you allow yourself to rest.

Imagine spending two hours tucked away in the warmth of the SouLand yurt, with the fire crackling, blankets ready and nowhere else you need to be. No shopping lists, no rushing around, no pressure to be productive

Just a few minutes of slow, easy breathing, long gentle stretches where you’re fully supported and simply stay still, a guided rest lying down (most people call it the best nap they’ve ever had), and soothing sounds to help you unwind. And if you take two hours for yourself, the Christmas preparations will still be there when you get back. You haven’t fallen behind. You’ve simply carved out a couple of hours for yourself so you can show up for your family feeling like yourself again.

You deserve to enjoy the season, too.

A few kind words….

I had never done an online class before Karolina's introductory course and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere she created, as well as listening to the knowledge she shared and built on throughout each session. If you want to learn and are looking for a relaxed and welcoming space, Karolina is your girl!

This series of workshops was a lovely way to relax in the evening, especially during the working week. It really made me take time out for myself and pause which was super grounding. Plus I slept great! Thanks again Karolina for the sessions

- Simon

Karolina is an amazing teacher, I was able to switch off and relax straight away and it was nice learning the different breathing techniques which is really helpful for me and my anxiety.

Meet your facilitator

I'm Karolina, a yoga teacher who believes that rest shouldn't be another thing we have to get right.

I know that life can feel a little overwhelming at times. That switching off isn't always as simple as sitting down, that our minds can be busy even when our bodies are exhausted, and that we can spend so much time looking after everything and everyone else that we forget to check in with ourselves.

My approach to yoga is gentle, curious and without the pressure to achieve, perform or keep up. I create spaces where you can slow down, take a breath and reconnect with yourself, without needing to be flexible, experienced or have everything figured out.

Through gentle movement, breathwork, relaxation and meditation, I help people find little pockets of calm in busy lives, become more familiar with what their bodies need and discover ways to make rest feel a little more accessible.

Above all, I want you to leave my classes feeling a little more at home in yourself, with practices you can take beyond the mat and into everyday life.

Saturday 5 December 2026

11am–1pm

£30 per person

Home Farm, Aldenham Rd, Elstree, Borehamwood WD6 3AZ

Your morning includes:

• Gentle breathwork, a few minutes of slow, easy breathing to help you settle in

• Yin Yoga, long gentle stretches where you’re fully supported by blankets and props and stay still for a few minutes, letting your body soften instead of working hard

• Yoga Nidra, a guided rest lying down where my voice talks you into deep relaxation

• Relaxing sounds and a peaceful fireside atmosphere

• Cosy blankets, the warmth of the fire and a little escape into the countryside

You don’t need to be flexible or experienced in yoga. Just come as you are. Bring yourself, and I’ll take care of the cosy bits.

So you can keep pushing through December running on empty, snapping at someone you love while wrapping presents at 11pm on the 23rd), or you can come and learn how to work with the season, rather than against it.

A little winter breathing space, just for you.
